It was a match that epitomised Manchester United’s erratic Premier League campaign — a game filled with drama, defensive mishaps, and glimmers of attacking promise, but ultimately ending in defeat. Brentford, hungry and relentless, took full advantage of a fragile United backline to secure a 4-3 victory in front of a jubilant home crowd.

Deep into stoppage time, Amad Diallo pounced on a defensive lapse, driving into the box and squeezing a low shot through the legs of Flekken to set up a frantic finale. But Brentford held on, with Collins making a crucial late block from Obi to preserve all three points.
