Hungary hold France to shock 1-1 draw

France needed a second-half equalizer from Antoine Griezmann to avoid the biggest upset of the tournament. Hungary, playing in front of a raucous crowd yet again at the European Championship, held the World Cup champions to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

In the first-half stoppage time, Attila Fiola found the space to run and made a great finish to give Hungary a 1-0 lead at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.

Antoine Griezmann scored the equalizer with a close-range finish in the 66th minute, netting his seventh goal at the EURO finals.

France missed chances through Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema, Les Bleus increased their points to four with this draw in Group F.
