Rakow Czestochowa produced one of the most complete performances of the Conference League round, dismantling Rapid Wien 4–1 at ArcelorMittal Park, with Lamine Diaby-Fadiga stealing the show through a breathtaking hat-trick.

Rakow Czestochowa lit up ArcelorMittal Park with a commanding 4–1 triumph over Rapid Wien, powered by Lamine Diaby-Fadiga’s unforgettable hat-trick on a cold European night. From the opening minutes, Rakow looked sharper, hungrier and far more decisive in both boxes, overwhelming the Austrian visitors with relentless attacking intensity.

The breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Jonatan Braut Brunes was clipped inside the area, winning a penalty. The striker stepped up himself and buried the spot-kick with precision, drilling a left-footed finish into the bottom-left corner to put Rakow 1–0 up. That goal settled the home side and opened the floodgates.

Just 13 minutes later, Rakow struck again this time on the counterattack. Brunes drove Rakow forward with a surging run before squaring for Diaby-Fadiga, who took a composed touch in the middle of the box and slotted a clean left-footed strike into the bottom corner. Rapid were reeling, and Rakow took a deserved 2–0 lead into halftime.

The second half began exactly as the first ended: with Rakow in control and Rapid hanging on. Only six minutes after the restart, Adriano curled in a teasing cross from the right, and Diaby-Fadiga rose unmarked to plant a beautiful header into the far corner, making it 3–0 and sending the home fans into a frenzy.

Rakow were ruthless, and in the 53rd minute, Diaby-Fadiga completed his hat-trick in style. The forward picked up the ball in the centre of the area and hammered home a right-footed finish, giving the goalkeeper no chance and sealing one of the most dominant individual displays of the round. A 4–0 lead, and a night to remember for Rakow’s rising star.

Rapid Wien finally found a consolation goal in the 75th minute when Jonas Auer curled a cross into the box for Janis Antiste, who finished clinically into the bottom-right corner. But it was far too late to change the complexion of the match.

Rakow closed out the match comfortably, earning three vital points and maintaining strong momentum in the league phase. For Rapid, defensive lapses and a lack of structure proved costly as they were outplayed in almost every department.

Lamine Diaby-Fadiga’s hat-trick will be the headline, but Rakow’s collective dominance—from their pressing to their sharp transitional play—made this a night their supporters will savour.
