With crucial Champions League and La Liga matches looming, Real Madrid faced Mallorca with the understanding that every game mattered. Despite the focus on upcoming fixtures, Mallorca, the cup finalists, aimed to disrupt Real Madrid's momentum during this critical phase of the season.

Real Madrid fielded a strong but rotated squad, with Joselu Mato leading the attack supported by Jude Bellingham and Brahim Díaz. Luka Modrić partnered with Aurélien Tchouaméni in midfield, while Rodrygo Goes and Eduardo Camavinga were available on the bench. Nacho Fernández captained the team for the match.

The game initially proved challenging, with little action and no clear chances for the first half-hour. Mallorca had the first real opportunity with a headed effort that forced a save from Andriy Lunin. Jude Bellingham then struck the crossbar from the edge of the box. Mallorca effectively slowed the tempo, leading to a 0-0 scoreline at halftime.

However, the deadlock was broken early in the second half with a moment of brilliance from Aurélien Tchouaméni, who fired a deflected shot into the top corner to give Real Madrid the lead. The goal electrified even the Mallorca fans, who applauded the French midfielder's skill. Brahim Díaz came close to doubling the lead but was denied by the goalkeeper.

Real Madrid's dominance continued with a denied penalty shout for handball against Mallorca. Despite a late chance for Sergi Darder, Lunin maintained his composure to secure the clean sheet.

In the end, Real Madrid held on to the 1-0 victory, setting a positive tone ahead of their upcoming crucial matches.
