Erik ten Hag’s tenure as Manchester United’s first-team manager has come to an end. The Dutch tactician, who took the reins in April 2022, has departed the club.
During his time at Old Trafford, Ten Hag guided United to domestic success, securing the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
“We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future,” the club said in a statement.
In the interim, former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy will assume the role of head coach, supported by the current coaching staff. The club will actively seek a permanent replacement.
