Arsenal dismantle 10-man Ipswich Town 4-0 to delay Liverpool’s title celebrations and continue their red-hot form in the Premier League.

Arsenal cruised to a dominant 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road, keeping their faint Premier League title hopes alive and halting Liverpool’s chance to be crowned champions today.

Mikel Arteta’s side looked sharp from the first whistle and wasted no time in asserting control. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring early with a scrappy finish after a deflected pass from Martin Ødegaard. Arsenal doubled their lead through Gabriel Martinelli, who tapped in after a classy backheel assist from Mikel Merino.

Ipswich’s hopes took a major hit in the 32nd minute when Leif Davis was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle on Bukayo Saka, leaving the hosts to play the rest of the match with ten men.

The Gunners smelled blood in the second half and didn’t let up. Trossard grabbed his second of the game in the 69th minute with a low-driven strike through the legs of Burgess. Arsenal’s fourth came late in the match, when teenager Ethan Nwaneri danced past defenders and saw his shot deflected in off O’Shea after being teed up by Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Gunners also hit the post and forced several saves from Ipswich keeper Alex Palmer, including a memorable one from debutant Nathan Butler-Oyedeji.

This convincing win ensures that Liverpool will have to wait at least until Wednesday to seal the Premier League title. Arsenal now trail the leaders by 10 points.

Meanwhile, the result seals Ipswich’s return to the Championship, ending a tough top-flight campaign for the newly promoted side.

Arsenal will look to carry this momentum into their Champions League semi-final and the remaining league fixtures, as Arteta’s men aim to finish the season on a high.
