Eberechi Eze's clinical double sealed Crystal Palace’s first-ever league double over Tottenham with a commanding 2-0 win in North London their first victory at Spurs since 1997 as Oliver Glasner’s side gear up for next weekend’s FA Cup final in style.

History was made in North London as Crystal Palace swept aside Tottenham Hotspur with a 2-0 win — completing a league double over their rivals for the first time ever. Eberechi Eze was the star of the show, scoring twice in either half to cap off a dominant display and hand the Eagles their first win at Spurs since 1997.

Eze’s opener came just before half-time, slotting home from close range after a surging run and assist from Daniel Muñoz. The second came minutes into the second half, a quick counter started by Eze and finished by him after a sharp exchange with Ismaila Sarr. Both goals were emblematic of Palace’s sharpness and precision  qualities that have defined their turnaround under Oliver Glasner.

Tottenham, in contrast, looked disjointed and uninspired. Despite some decent saves from returning keeper Antonin Kinsky and brief flashes from Porro and Bentancur, Spurs were toothless in attack. Their xG of just 0.68 told the story of a side struggling to create meaningful chances, and boos rang out as they slumped to a fifth consecutive winless league game. They now sit 17th, perilously close to the drop zone, with only a Europa League final against Manchester United offering a glimmer of redemption.

VAR denied them twice, with goals from Lacroix and Sarr ruled out, but it mattered little in the end. Glasner’s men were relentless, disciplined, and clinical  qualities they’ll need next weekend at Wembley when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

It’s been a difficult season for both clubs, but this result will live long in the memory for Palace fans. The Eagles stay 12th in the table and fly into the cup final with momentum and belief, while the pressure continues to mount on Ange Postecoglou’s side, whose Premier League campaign is fast becoming one to forget.
