Demarai Gray’s injury-time strike gave Everton a 2-1 victory over Arsenal and ended the club’s long winless run.
Rafa Benitez’s side had gone eight matches without a win in the league, and it looked like continuing when Martin Odegaard put the Gunners in front.
But Richarlison equalized with ten minutes remaining, and Gray fired in a stunning winner as Everton turned it around against a really poor Arsenal side.
It was a first-half sorely lacking in quality for much of the 45 minutes.
Ben Godfrey was fortunate not to be sent off after he appeared to stamp on Takehiro Tomiyasu’s face when the defender was on the ground. VAR decided that no action was necessary.
