FKF and BetKing part ways

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has ended its partnership with giant betting firm Betking, barely a year after a partnership was agreed.

A year after announcing Sh1.2billion five-year sponsorship deal for the local league.

The decision was jointly announced by BetKing country Director Ivana Ristic and FKF president Nick Mwendwa on Friday, August 5, 2021.

Via a statement, BetKing Country Director Ivana Ristic and FKF president Nick Mwendwa, opted to end their partnership on mutual consent with four matches to go to the end of this season.

A joint statement was released on Friday, August 6 confirming the two parties had parted ways.

The Football Kenya Federation and Betking Kenya jointly announces that we have reached a mutual agreement to terminate our existing sponsorship contracts for the Betking Premier League, Division One League and Betking will explore other ways in which we can collaborate in future,” the joint statement read in part.
