Homeboyz, Sofapaka, KCB and Kenya Police Progress to FKF Cup Quarterfinals

Kakamega Homeboyz secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the FKF Cup with a 1-0 win against Tusker on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Oliver Machaka scored the decisive goal in the 24th minute, propelling the defending champions forward.

In an earlier fixture, Bungoma Stars’ impressive cup run ended as they lost to Sofapaka in a penalty shootout. Bungoma Stars took an early lead with goals from Makokha Meshack and Wycliffe Wanyonyi, but Sofapaka rallied to level the scores and eventually won 5-4 on penalties.

In other matches, Kenya Police defeated Mombasa Stars 3-1, with Tito Okello netting twice and Alvin Mang’eni scoring once, while Ngoto Alvin scored for Mombasa. KCB also booked their spot in the quarterfinals with a 3-1 victory over Bidco United.
