Kariobangi Sharks grabbed the Slum Derby bragging rights by edging Mathare United 3-2 in an entertaining match played at the MISC Kasarani.Sharks scored through last season’s MVP Erick Kapaito, new boy Julius Masaba who joined the team from NSL side Kibera BlackStars and Duke Abuya while Mathare scored through veteran Clifford Alwanga and youngster Cliff Nyakeya.

Sofapaka eased past Western 2-0 in an early kick-off match played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Kepha Aswani opened the scoring and John Avire finished the job to ensure Batoto Ba Mungu grab the maximum points.
