On Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Dandora Stadium, Ulinzi Starlets showcased their resilience and determination, booking their spot in the FKF Women’s Cup final for the third consecutive year. Their journey to the final was marked by a thrilling encounter against Kenya Police Bullets.

Kenya Police Bullets initially took the lead in the 64th minute, courtesy of Lydia Akoth's penalty goal. However, Ulinzi Starlets responded swiftly, with Lucy Akoth finding the equalizer just seven minutes later, forcing the match into a penalty shootout.

The tension soared during the shootout, but Ulinzi Starlets held their nerve, emerging victorious with a 4-2 win. The pivotal moment came when Ulinzi Starlets' goalkeeper, Phiona Ariko, made a crucial save from Mercy Njeri's penalty, sealing her team's place in the final.

In the other semifinal clash, Kibera Soccer Ladies staged a remarkable comeback to overcome Zetech Sparks with a scoreline of 2-1. Despite Zetech Sparks taking an early lead from Yvonne Kavere's penalty, Kibera Soccer Ladies turned the tide in the second half. Lillian Mmboga ignited their resurgence with a goal in the 62nd minute, followed by Stella Odhiambo's decisive strike just three minutes later.

As a result, Zetech Sparks will now face Kenya Police Bullets in the third-place playoff, while Ulinzi Starlets are set to lock horns with Kibera Soccer Ladies in the highly anticipated final. Mark your calendars for June 16, 2024, as the stage is set for an electrifying showdown in the FKF Women’s Cup final.
