Nairobi United delivered the most emphatic statement of the weekend, dismantling Assad FC 7-1 in a ruthless attacking display. Michael Karamor stole the show with a sensational hat-trick, while Lonny Amudava, Kelwish Walubuka, Majaliwa Charo, and Adams Nyambane all found the net in a one-sided affair. United led 2-0 at halftime and exploded in the second period, underlining their promotion credentials with one of the most dominant performances of the season.

Over at Mombasa, Naivas FC handled their business early, scoring twice in the first half to down Mombasa Elite 2-0. The visitors scored just one minute into the match, asserting control from the outset. Their sharp movement, disciplined defending, and composed midfield transitions made it difficult for the hosts to get into the game. A second goal before halftime put the result beyond doubt as Naivas picked up another vital three points.

Fortune Sacco also came away with a hard-fought 2-1 win against a lively 3K FC side. Goals from Lucas Askoe and Emmanuel Mugane gave Fortune a 2-0 lead by halftime, but 3K pushed back strongly after the break, pulling one back through De Shifta. Despite a late surge, including several near-misses and penalty appeals, Fortune Sacco held firm and walked away with all three points, thanks to disciplined defending and smart time management.

In other results, Migori Youth edged Luanda Villa 1-0 in a gritty contest settled by a 41st-minute goal. The hosts were solid in defense and managed the game well, especially in the second half where Luanda tried to mount a comeback but lacked precision in the final third.

APS Bomet secured a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Nzoia Sugar. The hosts stormed into a 2-0 lead before halftime, with Cetric B. converting a penalty and Ballo adding a second. Nzoia pulled one back late in the 83rd minute but couldn’t find the equalizer. APS’s early aggression proved decisive.

Meanwhile, Kibera FC picked up an important 2-0 away win over Vihiga United. A goal in each half, scored in the 19th and 88th minutes, reflected their ability to strike early and finish strong. The result continues Vihiga’s worrying form while boosting Kibera’s place in the standings.

The only stalemate of the day came in Mombasa where Mombasa Stars and MCF played out a goalless draw. Both sides had chances, but poor finishing and solid goalkeeping kept the match locked at 0-0, a result that leaves both teams with work to do in their respective campaigns.

Across the league, the weekend showcased contrasting styles brutal efficiency from Nairobi United, tactical control by Naivas, resilience from Fortune Sacco, and late drama elsewhere. With the season heading into its decisive phase, the race for promotion and survival just got even tighter.
