Harambee Starlets Edge Closer to WAFCON 2026 After 3–1 Win Over Gambia
Kenya’s Harambee Starlets took a major step toward qualifying for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a commanding 3–1 victory over The Gambia at Nyayo Stadium. Despite conceding early, the Starlets roared back through goals from Mwanahalima “Dogo” Adam, Fasila Adhiambo, and debutant Shalyne Opisa. The win gives Kenya a strong advantage ahead of next week’s decisive return leg in Senegal, as they aim for their first WAFCON appearance since 2016.
