Aston Villa moves out of Premier League relegation places after 1-0 win against Arsenal

The Gunners suffered their 10th loss in the league campaign with a 1-0 loss to Dean Smith’s side.

Trezeguet scored the only goal as Arsenal were brought back down to earth following their recent success.

And while it was a disappointing evening for Mikel Arteta’s men, it was a huge step towards safety for Villa.

They jumped out of the relegation places on goal difference and know that Premier League survival is now in their hands.

As for Arsenal, who knows what to make of this side.

They’re FA Cup finalists but have disappointed in a number of matches this season.

Arteta clearly has a lot of work to do to get this team at the level required to compete.

It certainly doesn’t help when his captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, is laughing with opposing players, causing him to lose focus.

The Gunners chief bore the brunt of frustrations over the Gunners’ slow-moving transfer activity prior to their clash against Aston Villa
Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke found himself the subject of protests at Villa Park on Tuesday as a group of fans flew a message over the stadium calling for his head.

The initiative came from an anonymous Gunners supporter who, under the username Kroenke0ut, raised £1,750 on the crowdfunding site JustGiving in order to hire an airplane bearing the message ‘’Back Arteta Kroenke Out”.
