Harry Kane stepped up for Bayern Munich, converting from the penalty spot in the 37th minute to level the score after Serge Gnabry was brought down. However, it wasn’t enough to secure a victory for the Bavarians.

Stuttgart took the lead earlier in the match, with Leonidas Stergiou scoring his maiden Bundesliga goal before the half-hour mark. The momentum swung back and forth as Jeong Woo-yeong restored Stuttgart’s advantage late in the game, and Silas sealed the deal with a stoppage-time winner.

Bayern’s performance waned in the second half, perhaps with one eye on their upcoming Champions League semi-final clash with Real Madrid. Stuttgart capitalized on this, controlling possession and pressing relentlessly throughout the match.

Despite Bayern’s efforts to counter, including Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s missed opportunity on goal, Stuttgart remained resolute. Jeong’s header from Silas’ delivery extended their lead, leaving Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer helpless.

In the dying moments, Silas delivered the final blow with a superb finish, securing all three points for Stuttgart and marking their first home victory over Bayern since 2007. This win solidified Stuttgart’s position in the race for a Champions League berth.

With Kane’s goal, his 36th of the Bundesliga season, he closes in on Robert Lewandowski’s record of 41 goals with just two games remaining in the season.
