Agwanda is the latest player to ditch Sony Sugar for greener pastures ahead of the new KPL season, which will kick -off on August 31.

Agwanda will reunite with his former coach Zedekiah Zico Otieno who left the Gor Mahia assistant manager role to take over the hot seat at KCB. The former Gor Mahia forward had a decent campaign in front of goal last season, netting nine league goals for Sony and aiding them to a fifth-placed finish.

Sony has lost almost their entire squad in the current transfer window including their head coach Peter Odhiambo who decamped to Gor Mahia to fill in the shoes of Zico. Agwanda made history when he became the first player to successfully defend his Kenyan Premier League player of the month award.
