The match was supposed to start at 3:00 PM but Mount Kenya United failed to show up claiming of unpaid salaries and allowances from last year December to date

By 3PM, Mount Kenya Players were still at the City Stadium staging a sit in as they waited for club officials to hear their pleas.

According to Kenyan Premier League rules any team which fails to honor a match is liable for a fine of Sh1m for failing to honor a match while more sanctions might follow.

The walk over now see’s Gor Mahia 52 points ahead of the Kenyan Premier League followed by Sofapaka with 48 Points
