Lille manager Christophe Galtier confirms Nicolas Pepe to leave the club this summer | Transfer News

The 23-year-old ended a remarkable season with a brace on Saturday night against Angers, bringing his tally for the campaign to 22 goals and 11 assists in just 37 Ligue 1 appearances to help the side finish in second place. Manchester United have reportedly identified Pepe as the man to solve their problematic right wing position and have already approached Lille.

Arsenal are also in the hunt for the Ivorian, who was Sven Mislintat’s top recommendation before his departure, though they could be priced out with Lille demanding £70million. Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have also been credited with interest, and Galtier has urged Pepe to really consider all the offers before making his decision.

He told Canal+: ‘Nicolas Pepe will leave. Life’s like that, football’s like that today. ‘He is a player of the highest level who will have a big decision to make on the choice of his next club. There will be a battle between the great European teams.

I hope that he will take good amount of time to think about it, do his research, like he did when he came here and when he decided to stay here (last summer), find the right project.
