Lionel Messi advise to Neymar on what he must do for a peaceful Barcelona return | International Highlights

Lionel Messi has guided Neymar on what he should do so that his Barcelona return does not create too much of a conundrum among the fans.

Barcelona are planning a major squad overhaul this summer. Signing a left winger is on the agenda because they have miserably failed in replacing Neymar. Philippe Coutinho has been an absolute waste of 142 million euros, while Ousmane Dembele does have potential, but has done nothing to show it and move close to Neymar’s calibre.

In order to strengthen their left flank once and for all, the Spanish champions are eyeing a move for Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain. The French giants are fed up of the Brazilian’s antics and are ready to sell him, and the player on his part regrets making the switch to France’s capital as he has not been the player he was thought to be at the Parc de Princes.

Lionel Messi met Neymar after Argentina’s loss versus Brazil in the Copa America semi-final. Of course, the main topic of discussion was about the former Santos winger’s potential winger’s return to the Camp Nou. Neymar offered his commiserations to Messi and in return, got some advice from the Barca captain as to what he should do to ensure a peaceful return to Spain.

According to Diario GOL, Lionel Messi told Neymar that most importantly he must publicly issue an apology to the Barca fans and the board for the way he left the club. Secondly, Neymar must be present in Paris when Barcelona’s representatives arrive to agree a deal and not demand excessively because he is clearly not in a position to do.

Messi on his part assured that he will publicly issue a statement conveying that he wants Neymar back to the Camp Nou and the fans will be convinced because they usually follow his trail. Jordi Mestre, Barcelona’s vice-president earlier denied negotiating for Neymar, but his resignation later suggested that there could actually be something cooking in the office.
