Kenya’s refereeing fraternity is beaming with pride after four top officials were confirmed for duty at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.

Kenya has every reason to celebrate after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially named four Kenyan match officials among those appointed for the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations set for Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

Leading the pack is Peter Kamaku, one of the continent’s most respected centre referees, who once again earns his place on Africa’s grandest football stage. Kamaku’s consistency, calm authority and high-level decision-making have made him a trusted figure in CAF competitions over the years.

Joining him is Mimisa Dickens, selected as a Video Match Official (VMO). His appointment underscores Kenya’s growing impact in modern refereeing technology and CAF’s confidence in his accuracy and integrity when it comes to critical video decisions.

Kenya will also be represented on the flanks by two elite Assistant Referees — Gilbert Cheruiyot and Stephen Yiembe. Both have built solid reputations through top-tier performances in continental and international matches, showcasing precision, fitness and match-reading excellence.

This quartet’s inclusion is a proud moment for the nation, reflecting years of dedication, discipline and world-class professionalism. Their presence in Morocco will not only raise the Kenyan flag high but also inspire the next generation of referees across the country.
