Paris Saint-Germain maintained their perfect Champions League start with an impressive 4-2 victory over Manchester City in a thrilling encounter at the Etihad Stadium.
The defending European champions produced a devastating first-half display, with Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha putting Luis Enrique's side three goals ahead before the interval.
Manchester City responded strongly after the break as Erling Haaland scored twice, but Maghnes Akliouche's fourth goal ensured PSG left Manchester with all three points.
The visitors took the lead in the 13th minute after a slick counter-attacking move ended with Doue driving a superb effort into the bottom corner beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma.
PSG struck again just 99 seconds later.
Doue turned provider, finding space inside the penalty area before lifting an inviting cross towards the back post, where Dembele arrived to convert from close range.
City struggled to contain PSG's movement and attacking combinations, and the French side added a third in the 32nd minute.
Warren Zaire-Emery created space around the edge of the area before finding Vitinha, who curled a composed finish into the corner to give PSG a commanding 3-0 advantage.
City showed signs of improvement towards the end of the opening half but entered the break facing a major task.
Enzo Maresca made changes at half-time, introducing Iliman Ndiaye and Matheus Nunes as the hosts attempted to change the momentum of the match.
The response was immediate.
City began creating opportunities and finally reduced the deficit in the 53rd minute when Ndiaye delivered an inviting cross for Haaland, who powered a header into the net.
The goal gave City renewed belief, but PSG struck again just as the hosts appeared to be building momentum.
Dembele found Akliouche in the 63rd minute, allowing the winger to move infield and unleash a long-range effort. Donnarumma initially appeared to have saved the shot, but the ball bounced beyond him and crossed the line to make it 4-1.
City refused to surrender and continued attacking.
Enzo Fernandez struck the woodwork, while Josko Gvardiol saw an effort cleared off the line as PSG came under increasing pressure.
Haaland added his second goal in the 75th minute after Ayyoub Bouaddi picked him out inside the area, with the Norwegian firing emphatically into the net to reduce the deficit to 4-2.
The goal took Haaland to 61 Champions League goals and further underlined his remarkable scoring record in Europe's elite competition.
He came close to completing a hat-trick late on but was denied as City continued searching for a way back into the contest.
PSG had an opportunity to add a fifth in the closing stages after Nuno Mendes won a penalty, but former City forward Ferran Torres saw his spot-kick saved by Donnarumma.
The missed penalty did not affect the outcome as PSG held on to secure an impressive away victory and continue their perfect start to the Champions League league phase.
City created enough opportunities to make the contest much closer, but their costly first-half defensive problems left them with too much ground to recover.
For PSG, the victory provided another statement of their European ambitions as Luis Enrique's side continue their pursuit of a third consecutive Champions League title.
