France Info are reporting that Paul Pogba has informed police that his own brother, Mathias, is part of a €13 million blackmail attempt, according to Get French Football News.

On Saturday night, Mathias posted a video to Twitter claiming that he will share revelations about his brother, duly hinting that it would impact the public’s perception of the Juventus star.

Per the Daily Mail, Mathias said: “The French, English, Italian and Spanish public, in other words the whole world, as well as my brother’s fans, and even more so the French team and Juventus, my brother’s team-mates and his sponsors deserve to know certain things.

“In order to make an informed decision if he deserves the admiration, respect and love of the public.

“If he deserves his place in the French team and the honour of playing in the World Cup. If he deserves to be a starter at Juventus. If he is a trustworthy person, that any player deserves to have at his side.”

The video also went onto make comments about Rafaela Pimenta, who succeeded Mino Raiola as Pogba’s agent upon his passing, as well as Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe.

The Mail quote Pogba’s lawyers as responding to the video by saying:

“Mathias Pogba’s recent statements on social networks are unfortunately not a surprise. They are in addition to threats and organised extortion attempts against Paul Pogba.”
