PSG's late comeback draw delays their Ligue 1 title win | France Ligue 1

Paris St-Germain mounted a thrilling late comeback against Le Havre, securing a draw but falling short of clinching the Ligue 1 title in the process.

Facing a must-win situation to secure the championship, PSG found themselves trailing 3-1 midway through the second half. However, Achraf Hakimi ignited hope with a goal in the 78th minute, sparking a late resurgence for the Parisian side. The dramatic climax came in stoppage time when Goncalo Ramos netted the equalizer, salvaging a vital point for PSG.

Despite the draw, PSG maintains a comfortable lead atop the Ligue 1 table, sitting 12 points clear of second-placed Monaco. However, their quest for a third consecutive title must wait until at least May 12th.

Le Havre initially took the lead through Christopher Operi, but Bradley Barcola swiftly equalized for PSG. Andre Ayew and Abdoulaye Toure then propelled Le Havre ahead before Hakimi’s heroics spurred PSG’s comeback.

The introduction of Kylian Mbappe from the bench failed to provide the desired impact for PSG, as he struggled to influence the game.

Looking ahead, PSG faces a pivotal challenge in the Champions League semi-finals against Borussia Dortmund. With aspirations of reaching their second final in the competition, PSG must navigate two crucial encounters against the German side within six days.
