Roman Abramovich is ready to sack Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri | English Premier League

According to the Italian outlet, Abramovich is concerned by the manager’s ‘troubled’ relationship with the club’s fans and would sack him even if he wins the Europa League.

It is reported that Sarri could make a swift return to management, with Roma and Milan both thought to be interested in the former Napoli boss.

Gazzetta also claim that Juventus remains an ‘option’ for him with Massimiliano Allegri’s future seemingly in the balance.

Should the club axe Sarri, Derby boss Frank Lampard has been touted as a potential replacement at Stamford Bridge.

Sport Media Set claim that Chelsea have earmarked Lampard as their No 1 target in the event Sarri heads back to his native Italy.

Lampard played 648 times for Chelsea, scoring 211, during his 13-year playing career in west London.
