Defending champions Ulinzi Starlets started the day strongly with a decisive 2-0 win against FC Milima Queens in the FKF Women’s Cup quarterfinals.

The breakthrough came in the 26th minute when Everlyne Juma scored the opening goal, showcasing Ulinzi Starlets’ attacking prowess. Later in the match, Fasila Adhiambo confidently converted a penalty in the 43rd minute to double the lead, highlighting the team’s determination to defend their title and progress further in the tournament.

In another match Kibera Soccer Ladies secured their spot in the FKF Women’s Cup semifinals after a commanding 3-0 win against Bungoma Queens at Dandora Stadium on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

The first half was dominated by Kibera, who took a comfortable two-goal lead with strikes from Nancy Atako in the 24th minute and Lucky Achando in the 31st minute.

Despite losing goalkeeper Lucy Kisaga to a red card in the 35th minute, Kibera Soccer maintained control of the game, and Maximilla Robi sealed the victory with a goal in the 79th minute.

Later on, Kenya Police Bullets secured their place in the next round with a convincing 4-1 win over Kangemi Ladies. Lydia Akoth and Lucy Kwekwe scored in the 26th and 40th minutes respectively to give Kenya Police Bullets a comfortable halftime lead.

In the second half, Lucy Kwekwe completed her brace with another goal in the 60th minute, and Rebecca Okwaro added to the tally in the 63rd minute. Naomi Ongachi scored a consolation goal for Kangemi Ladies in the 79th minute.

The final quarterfinal match of the FKF Women’s Cup will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024, as Kisiwa Starlets battle it out against Zetech Sparks at Sudi Stadium. The semifinals of the tournament are scheduled for June 16, 2024.
