The decision comes just days after the team failed to secure a win in two crucial league fixtures—drawing 0-0 with Murang’a SEAL and suffering a 2-1 defeat to relegation-threatened Nairobi City Stars. Both matches highlighted a troubling lack of finishing prowess and defensive lapses that have hampered the team’s momentum in the FKF Premier League.

Against Murang’a SEAL, Gor Mahia dominated proceedings but failed to capitalize on multiple chances. Despite controlling much of the play, their attack lacked the precision to break through a compact and disciplined opponent. The result left fans disappointed, given the team’s ambitions and superior squad quality.

Earlier in the week, the loss to City Stars exposed deeper issues.
