Kenya Police Bullets are the undisputed champions of the 2023/24 FKF Women’s Premier League! They secured the title in dominant fashion, thrashing Zetech Sparks 6-2 in the penultimate round of the season.
The Bullets wasted no time asserting their dominance. Captain Juliet Andibo opened the scoring in the 4th minute, setting the tone for a goal-fest. Golden boot contender Rebecca Okwaro then bagged a brace within 14 minutes (11th & 25th), followed by a quickfire double from Lucy Kwekwe (18th & 21st). The first half ended with Police Bullets leading 5-0.
While Lydia Akoth extended their lead with a sixth goal in the second half, Zetech Sparks managed to pull two goals back through Anna Arusi (62nd) and Yvonne Kavere (70th). However, it wasn’t enough to challenge the champions’ dominance.
Police Bullets will officially receive their trophy after their final match of the season against Bunyore Starlets on June 26th at Mumboha Grounds.
In other league news, Vihiga Queens secured second place with a goalless draw against Nakuru City Queens. Kibera Soccer Ladies emerged victorious against Bunyore Starlets (4-2), while Bungoma Queens edged out Wadadia 1-0.
