The Football Kenya Federation has overhauled all its Standing Committees and held a crucial meeting with SportPesa and Azam TV to chart a fresh path for the SportPesa League. The renewed structure aims to improve governance, deepen development, and boost visibility across the Kenyan football ecosystem.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has taken another major step in reshaping the future of the local game after officially reconstituting all its Standing Committees. This bold move is part of a wider strategy designed to enhance governance, streamline operations, and inject fresh expertise into departments that keep Kenyan football alive and running.

According to the Federation, the new committee structure aligns fully with FKF’s Strategic Plan, ensuring every technical and administrative arm of the game is supported by seasoned professionals drawn from across the football ecosystem. From competitions and refereeing, to legal affairs, youth programmes, women’s football, and medical matters, each department now has a clear and strengthened leadership path.

FKF noted that the committees will play a central role in policy formulation, oversight, and the implementation of programmes across all football sectors. This, they believe, is the foundation needed to guarantee accountability, transparency, and consistent service delivery.

FKF has reiterated its commitment to working closely with these committees to drive meaningful progress and ensure that football development remains the heartbeat of the Federation’s agenda.

Away from the structural overhaul, FKF also hosted principal partners of the SportPesa League SportPesa, the title sponsor, and Azam TV Kenya, the official broadcast partner in a high-level meeting focused on boosting the league’s competitiveness and visibility.

The discussions placed special emphasis on strengthening content production, enhancing matchday presentation, improving stadium experiences, and widening the league’s reach on traditional and digital platforms.

Both partners expressed readiness to continue supporting long-term growth, with all parties agreeing that steady, meaningful progress is the only way to elevate the domestic game and build stronger pathways for players, clubs, and fans nationwide.

In a football landscape that has craved stability, structure, and fresh momentum, FKF’s latest steps point to a renewed, development-focused vision one that Kenyan football hopes will translate into real progress on and off the pitch.
