Tottenham will demand a fee of more than £34m ($44m) to allow manager Mauricio Pochettino to leave next summer.
Despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s impressive start to life in the managerial hot seat at Old Trafford, Manchester United still have earmarked Pochettino as their first-choice target, according to the Evening Standard.
Ed Woodward is willing to pay whatever it takes to prise the Argentinian coach away from Spurs at the end of the season, despite the London club slapping the huge sum on Pochettino’s head.
While Solskjaer has not been completely ruled out for the job, United believe that money should not be a factor in determining their new manager.
