FKF Premier League champions Tusker FC suffer a 4-0 loss at the hands of Egyptian giants Zamalek in the return leg of their CAF Champions League second preliminary round

Tusker out of the Caf Champions League after losing 5-0 on aggregate to Egyptian giants Zamalek SC in the second leg of the first-round match played at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

Ibrahim Obama scored a brace as El-Gezeiry and Achraf Bencharki scored a goal apiece to propel the five times African champions to the group stages of the 2021-2022 Caf Champions League.

Tusker headed into the match behind last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to the Egyptian champions in Nairobi and needed a win to progress.

Tusker’s last appearance in the Champions League was in 2017, where they lost 3-2 on aggregate to Mauritius’ AS Port-Louis in the preliminary round.

The previous meeting between Tusker and Zamalek in this competition was in 2005.

The 13-time Egyptian champions won 3-1 in Cairo after losing 1-0 in Nairobi to the 12-time Kenyan champions.
