Casemiro's Brazil Duties in Doubt Due to Fresh Injury as Man United Face Liverpool

Originally slated to join the Brazil squad for upcoming friendlies against England and Spain, Casemiro faces uncertainty after a new injury was disclosed by manager Dorival Jr. just hours before the Man United vs. Liverpool match.

Explaining the situation, Dorival Jr. revealed, "From a preliminary list of 50 names by the Brazilian national team's technical committee, 13 players were already sidelined due to club-related injuries." Among them is Alisson, sidelined with a severe hamstring injury.

Dorival Jr. further stated, "Unfortunately, we also lost Casemiro. Therefore, Pepe, from Porto, a forward turned midfielder, has been called up."

Although Man United is yet to confirm the injury, indications suggest Casemiro might miss the FA Cup quarter-final. Despite a challenging season for the 32-year-old and his teammates, Erik ten Hag still views him as a pivotal figure in midfield.
