Casemiro Joins Inter Miami on Free Transfer Until 2027

Brazilian international midfielder Casemiro has signed with Inter Miami as a free agent, and has agreed to terms through the end of the 2027 MLS campaign. It also contains an extension clause for him to extend his contract to June 2029.

This transfer is contingent upon the midfielder getting his P-1 Visa and LA Galaxy giving Inter Miami the Discover Priority rights. The Galaxy stated that the deal was reached, but would not disclose any specifics until Major League Soccer conducts its investigation, adding the information would be kept confidential.

Casemiro arrives in South Florida after bringing an end to his three-year spell at Manchester United.

Casemiro is a promising talent who is setting himself up to be a success in Miami.

Inter Miami's vision and desire to build for the future was what made it a decision, 34-year-old said.

Inter Miami managing owner Jorge Mas said it was another "statement of their ambition" when Casemiro was signed.

The Latin American's winning mentality, leadership and success at the highest level fit the bill perfectly as Inter Miami continue to assemble a team that can compete with the world's top clubs, he said.

The experienced midfielder was also greeted by co-owner David Beckham, who admitted that he had watched Casemiro all his life and was impressed by him.

I'm so happy that he's choosing Miami as his next home, he's a winner with so much he's accomplished in the game, with Real Madrid and Manchester United, he was just an incredible career I am happy that he's done that," Beckham said.

Glittering Club Career

By leaving Europe, Casemiro has emerged as one of the most decorated midfielders of his generation.

He went through Real Madrid's academy, then joined the club in 2013 and was a pivotal part of one of Real Madrid's greatest seasons. In eight seasons with the Spanish giants he scored 31 goals and assisted 29 others in 336 appearances and won 18 major trophies.

He has won a number of trophies at Real Madrid, such as:

Casemiro joined Manchester United in 2022, making 160 appearances, scoring 26 goals and adding 14 assists to the club's tally. He was involved in Old Trafford's FA Cup and EFL Cup success and left the club by mutual consent.

Brazil Mainstay

Casemiro has played in 91 matches for Brazil and was a member of the team that won the Copa America in 2019.

He is a three-time FIFA World Cup starter for the Selecao, having scored once in the Round of 32 and assisted once in the Round of 16 in the 2026 World Cup.

Star-Studded Miami Squad

Casemiro adds to an Inter Miami team that already includes Lionel Messi, Rodrigo De Paul and former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon as the MLS club continues to build their squad around successful international players.
