According to reputed Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, Anthony Martial has been offered to Barcelona through his representatives over a possible move in a future transfer window. The Manchester United forward could be a long-term replacement for Ousmane Dembele.

Anthony Martial joined Manchester United from AS Monaco in September 2015 and has since endured a topsy-turvy ride at the club. While the Frenchman has finished two campaigns as the Red Devils’ top scorer, he has tended to go missing in other seasons and has been a shell of his best self for over 18 months.

The ongoing campaign has been one to forget for Martial, who has managed only 359 minutes of game-time across ten outings, scoring one goal in the process. As a result, it looks increasingly likely that the 26-year-old will leave Manchester United sooner or later, with Barcelona a possible destination.

As per Gerard Romero, Martial has been offered to Barcelona through his representatives. The Frenchman is being projected as a possible long-term replacement for compatriot Ousmane Dembele. So while Ferran Torres will join Barcelona in January, the Blaugrana will need to delve into the market for another wide-attacker.
