Following a largely-disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge, however, the no-nonsense stopper rejoined Atletico the following summer.
And, despite the South American having fallen behind World Cup winner Lucas Hernandez in the left-back pecking order at the Wanda Metropolitano over the last couple of seasons, Luis continues to play an important role in Diego Simeone’s squad.
