On Saturday, Arsenal surged past Liverpool to claim the Premier League's summit with a 3-0 triumph over Brighton. Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne's brace propelled Manchester City to victory against Crystal Palace.

Goals by Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Leandro Trossard propelled the Gunners to 71 points, edging them one point ahead of Jurgen Klopp's side, who are level with defending champions City on 70 points.

Gabriel Jesus earned Arsenal a breakthrough when Tariq Lamptey brought him down, leading to Saka's return and his 14th Premier League goal of the season in the 33rd minute.

The Gunners extended their lead just after the hour mark as Jorginho assisted Havertz for an easy tap-in at the near post. Trossard then secured the third goal with a skillful chipped finish.
