Manchester City Secure Khusanov's Future
Man City have revealed that defender Abdukodir Khusanov has extended his deal at the Premier League outfit to a new five-year contract.
The 22-year-old centre-back has joined City from French club Lens in January 2025 and the club has already adapted him to their plans in anticipation of long-term future plans given his impressive debut campaign in England.
But Khusanov had several strong seasons last season and helped City to win the FA Cup and the League Cup as well as finish runners-up in the Premier League.
Defender Ready for New Challenge
After signing his new deal, Khusanov aired his excitement at continuing his resurgence with the English champions and showed his eagerness to please his new manager, Enzo Maresca.
There is so much to celebrate today and I am so happy with my family! I’m very pleased they let me stay at City," Khusanov said.
Since I first arrived in Manchester, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it; to be honest, I'm growing and learning a lot as a player.

Khusanov has firmly positioned himself as one of the leading figures in the world media.
The defender has made 30 international appearances for his nation and appeared in 3 of the Group K games for Uzbekistan at the FIFA World Cup.
He has cemented his reputation as one of Asia's most promising young defenders after consistently making the grade in both his club and country.
