Manchester United have revived their interest in Barcelona midfielder

Manchester United have revived their interest in Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic, according to a report.

The Red Devils are rumoured to have been knocked back in their most recent pursuit of the Croatia international last summer.

Spanish outlet Sport indicates that United are knocking on Barca's door once again, however, with contact being made three weeks ago.

United are said to have offered £31m for Rakitic, but the Catalan giants will not consider any offers below the £45m mark.

The report indicates that United also enquired about the availability of Samuel Umtiti, with a new centre-back high on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's list of targets.
