As Arsenal prepare to travel to Spain for their Champions League quarter-final second leg, Real Madrid have shared a key fitness update on two of their injured players. The Gunners head into the clash with a commanding 3-0 lead, thanks to goals from Declan Rice (2) and Mikel Merino in the first leg.

However, Mikel Arteta’s men cannot afford complacency at the Santiago Bernabeu. To secure a semi-final spot, Arsenal simply need to avoid conceding three or more unanswered goals.

Real Madrid’s latest training report, published on their official website, suggests Arsenal might catch a break. French defender Ferland Mendy and backup goalkeeper Andriy Lunin are both still sidelined and continue their recovery programs. Mendy has been out since the last-16 second leg, while Lunin has missed three matches. Though Thibaut Courtois has returned to full fitness, Mendy's absence weakens the defense.

The Monday training session saw some players working indoors on recovery, while others took part in high-intensity drills and a small-sided match. Kylian Mbappe, who received a red card in La Liga over the weekend, trained as usual and remains eligible to face Arsenal since the suspension only applies to domestic fixtures.

Other stars including Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Luka Modric, David Alaba, Endrick, and Dani Ceballos were also involved in outdoor training. Ceballos only recently returned from a hamstring injury and may be a late decision for the starting XI.

Real will definitely be without Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, and Eduardo Camavinga — the latter suspended after being sent off in the first leg.
