The match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final was finely balanced after a 2-2 draw in north London. Joshua Kimmich's 63rd-minute goal tilted the scale in Bayern's favor, ending Arsenal's hopes of advancing further in the competition.

Arsenal, aiming for both Champions League and Premier League glory, now find themselves out of Europe and trailing Manchester City by two points in the title race. On the other hand, Bayern Munich, after a disappointing Bundesliga campaign, can still salvage their season by clinching the European title.

The tension was palpable as both teams, sitting second in their respective leagues, faced off in Munich. Arsenal dominated possession, much like in the first leg, but it was Bayern who threatened first with Harry Kane missing an early chance for Arsenal.

The game remained cagey with Gabriel Martinelli looking lively for Arsenal, but Bayern posed a threat on the counter. Noussair Mazraoui's cross nearly found the net, and Jamal Musiala tested Arsenal's goalkeeper, David Raya.

Arsenal had opportunities too, with Martin Odegaard's deflected shot saved and Martinelli failing to convert a promising chance. However, Bayern started the second half strongly, hitting the post twice in quick succession.

Kimmich broke the deadlock for Bayern with a powerful header from Guerrerio's cross. Despite Bayern's dominance, they could not extend their lead as Leroy Sane missed a good chance.

Arsenal pressed for an equalizer but failed to trouble Bayern significantly. The final whistle confirmed Bayern's victory, ending Arsenal's Champions League campaign and continuing Bayern's tradition of success in Europe.

This defeat marks Arsenal's fifth loss in six Champions League quarter-finals, while Bayern showed their class and experience to progress after three consecutive eliminations at this stage.
