Murang'a Seal FC produced a commanding attacking display to demolish Posta Rangers 5-1 in their FKF Premier League encounter at SportPesa Arena on Sunday, October 18.

Majaliwa Charo and Josphat Lopaga scored two goals each, while Michael Macharia added another as the hosts celebrated their first home match of the 2026/27 season with an emphatic victory.

The result marked an impressive response from MSEAL, who had suffered a 4-2 defeat to defending champions Gor Mahia in their opening league fixture.

Lopaga, who scored both goals against Gor Mahia, continued his impressive scoring form with another brace, taking his tally to four goals in the opening two matches of the campaign.

The hosts started with attacking intent but had to wait until the 28th minute to break the deadlock.

Charo opened the scoring to give MSEAL a deserved advantage and set the tone for an increasingly one-sided encounter.

The midfielder struck again in the 44th minute, doubling the hosts' lead as Posta struggled to contain the attacking pressure.

MSEAL were not finished before the interval, with Lopaga finding the net in the second minute of first-half stoppage time to make it 3-0.

The third goal capped an excellent opening half for the home side, who headed into the dressing room firmly in control of the contest.

Posta Rangers faced a difficult task after the restart, needing a significant turnaround to recover from the three-goal deficit.

MSEAL, however, remained determined to maintain their advantage and continued looking for opportunities to extend the scoreline.

The hosts made changes as the second half progressed, with Michael Macharia replacing Pkiach to provide fresh attacking options.

A double substitution followed in the 64th minute as Lucas Maina and Price Musebe came on for Michael Owen and Elly Saenyi.

Charo's impressive afternoon ended in the 78th minute when he was replaced by Elvin Barasa after scoring twice to put his side in a commanding position.

The changes did little to reduce MSEAL's attacking threat as the hosts produced another devastating spell in the closing stages.

Macharia added the fourth goal in the 82nd minute, extending the advantage and further strengthening the hosts' grip on the three points.

Barely a minute later, Lopaga struck again to complete his brace and take the score to 5-0.

The forward's latest double underlined his excellent start to the new campaign, having now scored in both of MSEAL's opening league fixtures.

Posta Rangers managed to pull one goal back in the closing stages, denying the hosts a clean sheet, but the consolation did little to change the outcome.

The final whistle confirmed a convincing 5-1 victory for Murang'a Seal, who collected their first three points of the campaign in emphatic fashion.

The result represented a significant improvement from their opening defeat, particularly in attack, with five goals highlighting the team's ability to convert opportunities.

MSEAL have now scored seven goals across their opening two league matches, with Lopaga accounting for four of them.

For Posta Rangers, the heavy defeat exposed defensive problems that will need to be addressed as they seek to recover from a difficult beginning to the season.

Murang'a Seal, meanwhile, will take confidence from their dominant home performance as they look to build momentum in the early stages of the 2026/27 FKF Premier League campaign.
