FC Bayern Munich closed out another memorable Bundesliga campaign in dominant fashion after thrashing 1. FC Koln 5-1 at the Allianz Arena on the final day of the season.
The newly crowned German champions produced another ruthless attacking display, with Harry Kane scoring a brilliant hat-trick to lead Vincent Kompany’s side to victory.
Kane opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a clinical volley before adding a second just three minutes later from a clever Joshua Kimmich set-piece.
Koln briefly threatened a comeback through Said El Mala’s superb solo effort, but Bayern quickly regained control when Tom Bischof restored the two-goal cushion with an excellent strike from outside the box.
Kane then completed his hat-trick in the second half with a powerful long-range finish before substitute Nicolas Jackson sealed the victory moments after coming off the bench.
The result ensured Bayern finished the Bundesliga season 16 points clear at the top while also maintaining momentum ahead of their upcoming DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart.
Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund ended the season strongly with a comfortable 2-0 away victory over SV Werder Bremen.
SC Freiburg also impressed with a commanding 4-1 triumph against RB Leipzig, while VfL Wolfsburg defeated FC St. Pauli 3-1 away from home.
1. FC Union Berlin produced one of the biggest wins of the day after crushing FC Augsburg 4-0 in Berlin.
Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach comfortably defeated TSG Hoffenheim 4-0 to finish their campaign on a positive note.
There was drama in Frankfurt as Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in one of the most competitive matches of the afternoon.
1. FSV Mainz 05 secured a valuable 2-0 away win over 1. FC Heidenheim, while Bayer 04 Leverkusen were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Hamburger SV.
The final round of Bundesliga fixtures showcased the attacking quality across Germany’s top flight, with Bayern once again proving why they remain the dominant force in German football.
Kompany’s side finished the season with one of the best attacking records in Bundesliga history and now turn their focus toward completing a domestic double.
