Bayern Munich Cruise Past Union Berlin In Dominant Display
- Bayern Munich delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena, tightening their grip on the Bundesliga title race.
Bayern Munich produced a ruthless performance to dismantle Union Berlin 4-0 at the Allianz Arena, underlining their dominance as they continue their march towards another Bundesliga title.
The hosts controlled proceedings from the opening whistle, applying sustained pressure on Union Berlin’s defence. Despite early resistance from the visitors, Bayern’s attacking intent was clear, with Michael Olise causing problems down the right flank and Harry Kane coming close to breaking the deadlock.
After a series of missed chances, Bayern finally found the breakthrough in the 43rd minute. Leon Goretzka’s precise pass over the defence released Olise, who cut inside and fired a powerful strike past Frederik Ronnow to give the home side a deserved lead.
Just moments later, Bayern doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time. Joshua Kimmich delivered a dangerous cross into the box, and after a failed clearance, Serge Gnabry reacted quickest to fire home and make it 2-0 before the break.
Bayern carried their momentum into the second half and effectively sealed the contest in the 49th minute. Konrad Laimer provided the assist as Harry Kane created space on the edge of the box before curling a superb finish into the net, continuing his remarkable scoring form this season.
Union Berlin struggled to cope with Bayern’s relentless attacking waves, and the hosts added a fourth goal in the 67th minute. A blocked effort from Olise fell kindly to Gnabry, who smashed the ball past Ronnow to complete his brace and cap off a dominant performance.
The Bavarians continued to create chances, with Kane and Olise both going close to extending the scoreline further, but Union Berlin managed to avoid further damage.
The victory keeps Bayern firmly on course for the Bundesliga title, maintaining their advantage at the top of the table as they prepare for upcoming domestic and European challenges, including a Champions League quarter-final clash against Real Madrid.
Union Berlin, meanwhile, will look to regroup as they continue their mid-table campaign, having struggled to contain Bayern’s attacking quality throughout the match.
