The incredible party at Anfield as Liverpool are crowned Premier League champions for 2019/20 season

Liverpool have been crowned Premier League champions for the 2019/20 campaign after Chelsea’s win over Man City at Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp’s runaway league leaders had dropped just seven points all season, winning 28 of their 31 games.

And just two more points were needed following last night’s 4-0 thrashing of Palace.

Chelsea win over Man City at Stamford Bridge eliminated any far-fetched chance of Pep Guardiola’s men catching the Reds.

It means Liverpool have officially been confirmed as champions of England for the 19th time, ending a three-decade wait for a league crown.

Klopp ‘s Reds are on course for a record-breaking points haul prior after picking up an incredible 86 points from 31 matches so far.

October’s draw at Manchester United were the only points dropped by the Reds before their only defeat of the campaign at Watford back on February 29, with last week’s derby stalemate just the third time Liverpool had failed to win all term in the league.

In what has been a dominant year of football at Anfield, Klopp has now added the UEFA Super Cup, the Club World Cup and the Premier League title to the Champions League trophy they lifted on June 1 last year.

Liverpool are next in action away to City at the Etihad next Thursday, where it is expected they will receive a guard of honour.
