At Nyayo Stadium, reigning champions Gor Mahia reaffirmed their dominance with a 2-0 victory over Kenya Police in the much-anticipated Sirkal Derby. Felix Oluoch opened the scoring inside two minutes after a clever assist from Ebenezer Adu-Kwaw, who marked his return from injury in style. Musa Sharif then added the second in the 32nd minute, capitalizing on Mike Kibwage’s pinpoint pass to seal the win for K’Ogalo.

Despite a stronger second half from Police, Gor Mahia’s composure and tactical discipline ensured a comfortable three points further solidifying their place at the top of the standings.

Down in Mombasa, Bandari FC left it late to secure a dramatic 1-1 draw against KCB at Mbaraki Stadium. Richard Omondi’s towering header had put the Bankers ahead in the 65th minute, but substitute Abdallah Hassan struck deep into stoppage time to salvage a point for the Dockers.

Head coach Mohamed Borji lamented missed chances but praised his side’s resilience:

It has been a trend. We keep missing clear chances and end up paying for it. Inshallah, I’m hoping for better finishing going forward.

Elsewhere, Shabana FC ended their five-match winless run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ulinzi Stars, easing pressure on coach Peter Okidi. Shabana’s compact defending and swift counterattacks proved decisive against a frustrated Ulinzi side.

Meanwhile, in a tightly contested fixture, APS Bomet and Mathare United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, each team showcasing moments of promise but lacking the killer instinct to grab all three points.

The weekend’s results highlighted the growing competitiveness across the league, with Gor Mahia setting the pace while the rest fight to keep up.

Full Sunday Results:

  • Ulinzi Stars 0–1 Shabana
  • APS Bomet 1–1 Mathare United
  • Bandari 1–1 KCB
  • Kenya Police 0–2 Gor Mahia
